The chances of Russia being cut off from the international payment system SWIFT are growing by the day. Within the European Union there is increasing support for the exclusion of Russia. Italy, previously opposed to a SWIFT ban on Russia, openly supported a boycott on Saturday if the rest of the country bloc agrees.
