Russia doesn’t want “dirty bomb” from Ukraine – Nebenzya

The Chernobyl nuclear power plant must be safe, the Russian and Ukrainian military have jointly agreed to ensure it, said Vasily Nebenzya, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, who spoke at a meeting of the UN Security Council on the situation around Ukraine. He clarified that an agreement on ensuring the safety of the sarcophagus and power units of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant was reached with a separate battalion of protection of the nuclear power plant of Ukraine. Russia does not want Kyiv to have a “dirty bomb”, the diplomat stressed.

Earlier, the official representative of the Ministry of Defense, Major General Igor Konashenkov, announced that Russian paratroopers had taken full control of the territory in the area of ​​the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. This is a guarantee that nationalists and gangs will not be able to arrange a nuclear provocation, taking advantage of the current situation.
