The Nordic Paralympic Committees have approached the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) with a letter hoping that Russia and Belarus will be excluded from the Beijing Winter Paralympics. The reason is the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

In their letter, the committees state that they strongly condemn Russia’s recent actions against Ukraine.

– Russia’s attack on the Ukrainian people and the violation of international law call for international condemnation and sanctions.

– We strongly recommend that the IPC exclude Russia and Belarus from the Beijing Winter Paralympics.

Also Belarus out

The Nordic Paralympic Committees say that in addition to Russia, Belarus is indirectly violating the rules of humanity and the Olympic peace. For this reason, Belarus is also wanted out of the Beijing Winter Paralympics.
