Suspect is 24-year-old Hadi Matar
New York – The man suspected of stabbing British-American writer Salman Rushdie while performing in New York state is 24-year-old Hadi Matar. The New York police announced this during a press conference. Rushdie is on a ventilator and is likely to lose one eye after the Chautauqua stabbing. His literary agent said in a statement that “the news is not good.”
