Runaway horse injures three

According to witnesses, someone would have startled the horse by putting his fingers in the animal’s nose. Two people were taken to hospital with flesh wounds. One other received care at the scene. A horse fisherman and fire brigade volunteer present reacted firmly and were able to calm the horse.

The horse fishermen and their horses have since left. Mayor Marc Vanden Bussche also came to take a look on the spot. An evaluative consultation with the horse fishermen will take place next week. There will also be discussed how such incidents can be avoided next time.
