There has been a real run on the VarmBlixt collection by the Rotterdam designer Sabine Marcelis for Ikea. Fans can easily pay hundreds of euros on Marktplaats for a lamp or bowl that previously cost a few tenners at Ikea. Social media is teeming with proud Marcelis fans with their coveted ‘doughnut’ or ‘paper clip’ lamp. “I was completely happy.”
