In several summers already, Ruisrock has offered a thousand people over 70 free access to festivals for one day.

The free wristband has always been popular – and this year as well.

On Thursday, Ruisrock published pictures of happy senior citizens with party tickets on their Facebook page:

– This is how it looked this morning in Turku. How wonderful was it to see such a big turn out in the distribution of tickets among people over 70 years old? You rock, on the side of the photo collage.

The idea of free tickets was initiated by the city of Turku in 2010 when Ruisrock celebrated its 40th birthday.

The free tickets for people over seventy have also made younger people try their luck.

In 2019, a man from Turku tested whether he could get to Ruisrock disguised as an elderly person with a free pensioner’s ticket. Yes, you did.

Of course, there have been other entry entrepreneurs. In 2017, a swimmer who claimed a free festival day disguised himself as a duck and tried to swim to the festival area. His experiment failed.

Ruisrock will take place next weekend in Ruissalo, Turku.

Julius, 22, disguised himself as seventy in 2019 to get a free ticket to the festival.
