The guesswork is over. The organizers of the Ruhrpott Rodeo announced on June 30th that the Düsseldorf punk band Broilers will be appearing as a special guest. The concert starts on July 3rd at around 8:40 p.m. on the Ruhrpott-Stage.
The Broilers join the line-up alongside punk rock bands like Social Distortion, Wizo, Anti-Flag and Dropkick Murphys. Tickets for the Ruhrpott Rodeo are only available for July 3rd here available for around 81 euros. Here is an overview of the schedule.
After the announcement, not all fans were enthusiastic. On Instagram, for example, a user wrote “Broilers? Is that a joke?” It was previously said that the secret act could fill entire stadiums.
The Broilers are currently on their way through Germany with their “Everything will be OK again!” Open Air Tour. The performance at the Ruhrpott Rodeo follows a week later with a concert at the Essen stadium. Then the band will play in Dresden, Hamburg and Berlin in July and August.
Tickets from 2019 and 2020 remain valid
The Ruhrpott Rodeo has been held annually in summer since 2007. It is considered the largest punk festival in Germany and in 2016, the highlight, was 8500 visitors. Because of Corona you had to pause for two years, the tickets for the Ruhrpott Rodeo 2020 and 2021 remain valid.
