In the rugby league of honor it was decided this weekend who will be in the final for the national championship. The all-deciding match between RFC Haarlem and Castricum was one full of emotions.
Rivalry
“I think there is some rivalry between the two clubs. Sometimes things happen on the field, but that is passion,” says RFC Haarlem coach Mike Panoho.
“If you then see a team emerging in the same region, it is an extra effort to stamp it down,” said Castricum captain Dirk Wierenga. RFC Haarlem is on the rise. This is because the PhD student is doing excellently in the honorary division.
Teams must win
Both teams had to win last Saturday if they wanted to qualify for the final. NH Sport was present at this spectacular match and made the above report.
