In Chicago the New Zealanders went behind in the first half despite their numerical superiority, then within 5 minutes of the second they overturned everything with tries from Williams and Sititi, then Roigard closed it out. At Murrayfield Scotland destroys the USA of former Italian player Boni
The All Blacks suffer, get stuck, struggle, but with a terrible one-two placed in the heart of the second half they stun Ireland, losing 26-13 at Soldier Field in Chicago. And so comes the revenge for the defeat of 9 years ago, when, on the same field, the Irish defeated them for the first time in history. But it is also the third win in a row for the New Zealanders, after Ireland’s 2-1 win on the 2022 summer tour.

A shoulder to the face of Beauden Barrett costs Tadgh Beirne a yellow card after just 3 minutes, but then the bunker, with a slightly exaggerated decision, actually turns it into a red card. But in the 20 minutes in numerical inferiority, Ireland even went to 10, with Jack Crowley’s place and then with the goal of prop Tadghg Furlong, who hurled himself into the goal from close range, after Stuart McCloskey’s attempt just before was stopped two meters from the line. Crowley transforms her. The blow finally wakes up the All Blacks, who in the meantime also lose captain Jordie Barrett due to injury (Leicester Fainga’anuku takes over): quick and precise hands build the clear superiority wide for Ardie Savea’s dive to the flag, with Beauden Barrett converting. And at the break it was 10-7 for Ireland.
ONE-TWO
—
At the start of the second half Crowley has two opportunities on a free kick: he misses the first and scores the second to make it 13-7. But between 62′ and 67′ the All Blacks put in a tremendous one-two that turns the match. The first try came from a free kick played 5 meters out, flanker Wallace Sititi was stopped right on the line, prop Tamaiti Williams collected and slipped into a tiny hole to smash past. Then the best action of the match takes place: sensational break and pass from Barrett to the newly introduced Damian McKenzie, who sprints into the 22, open defense and internal pass for Sititi’s sprint towards the posts. Barrett converts both to make it 21-13. In the 77th minute, to crown a splendid personal performance, Cam Roigard collected the ball from the scrum at 5 meters, faked the opening, then swerved inwards, two Irishmen letting him slip away for New Zealand’s fourth try. Which Barrett does not transform. But now the games are over.
USA OVERWHELMED
—
At Murrayfield, with former Italian player Tommaso Boni playing as starting centre, the United States were overwhelmed 85-0 by Scotland, who will host the All Blacks next week. For the hosts, hat-tricks from Darcy Graham and Jamie Dobie, a brace from Duhan van der Merwe and tries from Dylan Richardson, Stafford McDowall, George Horne, Ollie Smith and Kyle Rowe. Five conversions each for Adam Hastings and Horne. This is the victory by the widest margin ever achieved by Scotland at Murrayfield, well above the 48-0 over Spain in 1999, and just one try converted from the all-time record, the 100-8 over Japan in 2004. Debut as a starter for flanker Liam McConnell and from the bench for hooker Harri Morris.
