TOpcome tonight on Rai 2 at 21.20 ruby, first of four appointments of the Ruby Landry sagachoral history steeped in family mystery and intriguebased on the series of novels of the same name by V. C. Andrews. Gothic atmospheres and secrets buried in the past suck the viewer into a mystery set in 1960s America. Protagonists are Ruby and Giselletwin sisters played by Rachelle And Karina BannoAustralian actresses, twins in real life too.
rubythe plot
Ruby Landry she is a charming girl with a great talent for painting. After her mother’s death, she lives with her grandmother Catherinespiritual healer in the bayou, mysterious swamp of the delta mississipi, in Louisiana. ruby spends his simple and happy lifefull of love for her high school mate Paul Tate. But when grandma sees the niece and Pual kiss the problems begin: the grandmother tells the girl that Paul he is her half-brother (son of the same mother). She is shocked by it. The relationship of the two boys is immediately truncated, amid great suffering.
And everything falls apart when the grandmother falls ill. On her deathbed she reveals to her niece a hitherto hidden truth: hers father is a wealthy Creole who lives in New Orleans and she also has one twin sister with lives with his father. ruby, also to escape his alcoholic grandfather, decides to join his father and also meet his twin.
