Andrey Rublev has reached the final at the ATP Masters in Monte Carlo. The fifth-seeded Russian defeated Taylor Fritz (USA/No. 8) 5-7, 6-1, 6-3 in the semifinals.
Opponents in the final on Sunday are Jannik Sinner (Italy/No. 4) or Holger Rune (Denmark/No. 6).
Rublev had stopped the triumph of Davis Cup player Jan-Lennard Struff in the quarterfinals. Alexander Zverev (No. 13) was eliminated in the round of 16.
