Ruben Nicolai is off to a good start with his new program The Big Show. Already with the premiere he takes viewership gold. “But the best man has been standing in a screaming position since the start!”
Ruben Nicolai’s first personality show, The Big Show, started yesterday with more than 1 million viewers (22 percent market share) on the Saturday evening of RTL 4. With this he immediately took viewership gold: he attracted more attention than André van Duin, who The Big Small Trains Competition attracted 36 thousand viewers less on NPO 1.
Beautiful score
Viewership professor Tina Nijkamp thinks that Ruben should be extremely satisfied. RTL 4 is Lego Masters after nine weeks back on track on the Saturday and the big winner. Also in the commercial target group 20 to 54 years a wonderful 32.6 percent market share,” she writes on her page ratings juice channel.
Ruben is currently being showered with compliments from the channel, Tina thinks. “Ruben is busy on the app this morning, that’s for sure. ‘Great’, ‘fantastic’, ‘happy’ pretty much sums up the app traffic I think.”
hideous
Televizier journalist Jef Willemsen wonders whether the score will remain so high, because he was quite annoyed while watching. “Would it be called The Big Show because of Ruben’s large volume? The best man has been in a screaming position since the start. Each! Sentence! No! Each! Word! IS! TO! AT! GILLUH!”
It could be a little less, thinks Jef. “Relax Ruben, the laugh track likes it anyway ?.”
Özcan beats Matthijs
Tina also notices that Özcan Akyol on the smaller NPO 2 at the same time attracted more viewers than Matthijs van Nieuwkerk on the much larger NPO 1. Sterren op het Doek scored 830 thousand viewers, while Matthijs Goes Door had 812 thousand.
Tina: “Oops. Matthijs will not be happy about that. His schedule is too wobbly this season. And the big loser of the evening is SBS 6 with the World Cup special of I Want Your Song with Snelle and Mart Hoogkamer. Only 350 thousand viewers.”
