Spanish Radio Television (RTVE) will promote the celebration of Hispavisión, a festival similar to Eurovision in which Spanish-speaking countries will participate, and Brazil and Portugal as guests. The first edition is scheduled to take place in 2023, in the city of Cartagena de Indias (Colombia).
This was announced this Wednesday by the president of the public Corporation, José Manuel Pérez Tornero, at a press conference prior to the closing of the I Ibero-American Forum of Audiovisual Public Service, organized by RTVE, with the collaboration of the Educational Television Association and Ibero-American Cultural Organizations (ATEI).

For the organization of the Hispavisión festival, as explained by José Manuel Pérez Tornero, a working group that will decide the details of the Ibero-American musical competition: participation system, voting, venues that will host the festival, etc.
This is one of the issues on which it has been agreed to work together, after the two days of debate and analysis that have taken place in Madrid, with representatives of RTVE and the main Ibero-American public broadcasters to address issues such as the challenges that raises an increasingly digitized future or the importance of culture in the public media.
