RTV Drenthe is gauging the mood at the various polling stations today

CDA MP Eline Vedder votes at home in Ruinerwold, before heading to The Hague to await the election results.

Vedder, that one runner up is behind party leader Henri Bontenbal, calls today ‘a very special day’. “Very special to be second on the list on behalf of Drenthe. We have worked very hard lately, the days were packed. I have spoken to so many people and seen beautiful things, although I can’t wait to see what the new House of Representatives looks like and to get back to work.”

According to the polls, the CDA is losing significantly, but Vedder is not giving up. She’s aiming for double figures. “The CDA is often underexplored. On to ten seats!”
