RTV Drenthe continues to broadcast Johan Derksen’s daily radio program Music for Adults. The management of RTV Drenthe has decided this after a conversation with Johan Derksen. Consultations were also held with various people within and outside the regional broadcaster, after which the decision was taken to continue the collaboration.
According to the broadcaster’s management, the purpose of these conversations was to make a considered decision whether the collaboration with Derksen should be continued. “That was not an easy task, because reason and feeling are intertwined. In such a situation it suits every company, including RTV Drenthe, to exercise as much care as possible. And that is done by entering into a discussion, facts and opinions to collect, to exchange arguments and to make an assessment and consideration.”
RTV Drenthe’s decision follows the fuss that arose after the live broadcast of the current affairs program Today Inside on Tuesday 26 April.
