Berlin (dpa) – RTL will broadcast a large part of the German international football matches until 2028. The private television broadcaster agreed with UEFA “on the most extensive international match package in the history of RTL,” as the media company announced.
The acquired rights therefore include half of the games in the Nations League, the qualifiers for the European Championship and World Cup and test international matches.
According to dpa information, the other half of the 60 matches will be shared between ARD and ZDF, but the contracts with UEFA are said not to have been signed yet. The two public broadcasters declined to comment.
