Eva Jinek’s salary will be cut considerably if she has to negotiate with her boss Peter van der Vorst again next year. A TV insider reported this to weekly magazine Story.
Eva Jinek was put under contract by RTL 4 at the end of 2019 to become the figurehead of the late evening. Two and a half years later, there is not much left of that ambition. She is on holiday more often than on the tube and Peter van der Vorst has already brought in a third presenter with Renze Klamer to alternate with Eva.

At the moment, Eva is said to receive 1.2 million euros per year, but her contract will expire at the end of next year. Given her much-discussed mega holidays and her disappointing viewing figures – she can often be found in the lower regions of the top 25 viewing figures – such a generous income will no longer be possible, think insiders.
A TV insider tells Story weekly: “Peter will not renew Eva’s contract under the same conditions. Eva will have to cut back significantly in salary to keep her talk show.”
What does Bert say?
TV connoisseur Bert van der Veer also points out that Eva is very little on the channel. “Eva makes fewer shows than she intended when she signed her contract. Humberto recently filled in for Eva during her illness and seems to be getting more and more opportunities, Renze Klamer has been recruited and Beau is doing excellent,” he says in the same magazine.
If Eva is not going to do something next to it, then that contract of 1.2 million euros per year can no longer be explained, thinks Bert. “If she doesn’t, I can imagine that RTL will talk to Eva about her contract and salary.”
Pieces bearing
Party magazine fears the same fate for Eva. “All in all, there is a good chance that a new contract for Eva will be much lower than her current contract. After all, the competition is fierce. Beau van Even Dorens, with whom Eva alternates, also scores well with his talk show Beau.”
Now Renze has also been brought into the house. “Eva’s chair legs are supposedly sawn a lot and that will take some getting used to for the blonde, who was used to everything she touched turning to gold. But that’s just how it works in the TV world.”

Perhaps Eva herself will stop, according to the Party. “Perhaps Eva will draw her own conclusion and stop her talk show to fulfill the wish of a second child. That wish is there and Eva knows that, given her age, some haste is needed. In any case, it will be exciting times for Jinek.”
Story also speculates about a second Jinek baby. “It is no secret that Eva would like to have a second child and wish her son Pax (3) a brother or sister. If that is given to Eva, then RTL 4 will in any case have enough replacements ready.”
