In an interview with ROLLING STONE, Dafoe shares how he morphs into his characters and loses himself in the process, why he finds his characters through their physicality, and what makes a good director. He also reveals, exclusively, some details about his new film with Robert Eggers: “Nosferatu”.
That’s what his new film “Inside” is about: Nemo (Willem Dafoe) is a burglar and art thief, a master of his trade. When he breaks into a collector’s luxury apartment, he finds himself in trouble: the security system locks all entrances and exits, Nemo is locked in a smart home above Manhattan, a prison full of art. Nobody comes for him, no accomplices, no police. His unique talent has only one goal: survive.
“Inside” starts on March 16 in German cinemas distributed by SquareOne.
