Royal look: all the report cards of the coronation of Charles III

Lto Queen Camilla very bright, Kate Middleton magnetic, Letizia of Spain enchanting in pink. The coronation of Charles III was also an endless parade of looks, toiletries and jewels. Here are our report cards.

The coronation of King Charles: the crown, the sceptres and the great emotion of the sovereign

Nine on the report card for Queen Camilla. Honorable mention, but only because she is the queen, the sovereign appeared rather plastered and cautious in her movements. And she has repeatedly expressed a certain anxiety for the purple velvet ermine cloak, the ad hoc Robe of Estate, with a several-metre long train and for the crown. Even when she appeared on the balcony of Buckingham Palace she showed some difficulty in moving her head with the crown.

The new queen looked dazzling in her white gown designed by Bruce Oldfield. The dress was embellished with gold embroidery. The silhouette recalled in cut and colors the dress worn by Elizabeth II 70 years ago on the day of her coronation.

Impressive her bridesmaids, practically clones.

Closed the windows of Buckingham’s balcony how long did it take to give up the crown, which belonged to Queen Mary, to a footman?

The future queen has once again shown herself to be a style expert, like her sister-in-law Meghan Markle. She was absolutely iconic with an Alexander McQueen look, the maison that has been following her since her wedding, in 2011. The dress was ivory silk crepe, with thread embroidery with rose, thistle, daffodil and shamrock motifs to represent each of the four nations.

Tribute to the British flag coat.

New tiara, identical to that of daughter Charlotte: designed by Jess Collett x Alexander McQueen it was made up of silver ingots, crystals and silver threads worked with three-dimensional embroidered leaves.

The role of fashion icon he was “disturbed” by little prince Louis who called her back to the role of mother: with his yawns he made it clear that all those ceremonies, crowns and tiaras, really didn’t matter at all.

3/ Royal look, Eugenie and Beatrice of York

With the wedding, Beatrice and Eugenie of York, from ugly ducklings of the kingdom – their “wrong” looks at Kate and William’s wedding are iconic – have turned into stylish princesses. The most glamorous is certainly Beatrice of York, wife of Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi during the lockdown and mother of a little girl, Sienna. Her love made them more beautiful.

Beatrice of York chose a @beulahlondon look, while Eugenie of York, heavily pregnant, next to her Jack Brooksbank, chose a Fendi coat and dress. There’s just no comparison to twelve years ago.

Do I stand out more if I stand in a corner and wear blue or if I stand out directly in pink? In a rainy London, Letizia of Spain chose a Carolina Herrera pink total look. Her hat definitely kept her out of the rain. Felipe’s mother Sofia was a third cousin of the Queen and first cousin of the Duke of Edinburgh.

We’re not quite there. The most beautiful and elegant queen in the world this time opted for a pale yellow that didn’t do her justice at all. Why this choice?

For the coronation she chose a Tamara Ralph couture dress, a Bottega Veneta clutch and white Jimmy Choos. Definitely subdued compared to when, triumphant, in 2004, she appears in an ivory white shirt with rolled up sleeves and a long cyclamen red skirt with lace inserts.

Maybe he didn’t want to attract attention?

I go or I don’t go. In the end, after a thousand hesitations that put Buckingham Palace to the test, she decided to leave with Prince Albert for London. But he must have packed his bags at the last moment, putting what came in a bit inside. For the coronation she undid herself in a cream suit, with demeaning bonnet. God Save the King.

The ineffable Pippa Middleton arrived in Westminster alongside her brother James in a Claire Mischevani yellow blazer dress. We still remember her carrying her sister’s train right into Westminster Abbey.

He has never missed a beat since.

They say her stylists are inspired by Kate Middleton’s looks. In fact, Mary of Denmark, of Australian origin, is the most “English” of the sovereigns of the north.

Purple is the color of royalty and for a commoner like her it must have been an honor to be able to wear it.

10/ Royal look, Charlotte of Cambridge like Kate: 9

Little princesses grow up. Charlotte of Cambridge is mum Kate Middleton’s perfect mini-me. Already regal in her manners, she donned her first communion gown and cape, but her identical tiara to the Princess of Wales made her memorable for the occasion.
