Royal Couple and Prime Minister at National Commemoration of Slavery History | News item

His Majesty the King, Her Majesty Queen Máxima and Prime Minister Rutte will participate in the National Commemoration of Slavery Past in Amsterdam’s Oosterpark on Saturday afternoon, July 1, 2023. A delegation from the government is also present. The King will give a speech during the commemoration.

The Commemoration Year of Slavery History also starts with the commemoration in Oosterpark and the Keti Koti Festival on Museumplein. During the commemorative year, events and activities throughout the Kingdom reflect on this past and its impact on people’s lives today.
