Roxane Knetemann has been reprimanded by her boyfriend for her incessant giggles in the SBS 6 hit Today Inside. “I never realized that,” says the former cyclist.
She is one of the regular faces of Today Inside: former cyclist Roxane Knetemann. She is allowed to tell endless stories about cycling in the program. In addition, she also giggles at the statements of the men at the table. Her boyfriend Wim Stroetinga, a former track cyclist, finds it very irritating. Giggling on TV
Wim thinks that Roxane should not giggle so much. “I watch Today Inside a lot. And if you’re in it, I’ll make sure you don’t giggle too much. Then you are not in the picture but I can hear you laughing. Then I think: hold back a bit.”
Roxane: “I never realized that until you mentioned it. Now I try to take it into account. I like that critical look of yours. I don’t like to see myself again. Then I start thinking about what people might think of me and that makes me insecure.
‘TV is always on’
The two always watch TV together at home. “When we are both at home, we always watch TV. I used to go to Pauw and later to Jinek, but I don’t like Eva Jinek anymore,” says Wim.
Roxane: “We loved watching DWDD. Maybe it’s very bad, but when we are eating, we often watch TV. Usually at half past seven and then DWDD started, right?”
Wim: “No, seven o’clock.”
Khalid & Sophie
Roxane: “Oh yes, seven o’clock. Now we look… yes, what do we actually watch while eating? Sports news often too. Also the current affairs of the day: Eenvandaag, Nieuwsuur…”
Wim: “I don’t like Khalid & Sophie.”
