Roxana Lambrecht: Even with “bad” press, life insurance is a great act of love

Roxana Lambrecht is one of those people who inspire confidence from the first moment you meet them. Perhaps that quality is what allowed her to develop a successful career as an Insurance Advisory Producer for the last 26 years, even though her path began as a Graduate in Tourism, when she left her hometown to study in Buenos Aires at the age of 18. .

Rionegrina, a Capricorn, with a certification as a Financial Advisor, knows for sure that her best title is that of Rodolfo’s mother, who came into the world after a long search, and who puts a Chinese-eyed smile on her face just by naming him . That combination between a professional who stands out in her role, who demonstrates impeccable solidity and a passion for honest advice to the client, and the human warmth that she overflows from her with minimal gestures, does not let her go unnoticed. Roxana becomes magnetic in her speech, with the overwhelming force that motherhood and a profession exercised with love give us.

That profession, in which he has been in for almost three decades, came about by chance? during an impasse in his career as a Bachelor of Tourism.

Roxana, How did you get into the Personal Insurance Industry?

I arrived casually in the twenties, being a university student majoring in Tourism. A person sent my CV to an American company and they hired me for the administrative area. For me it was a “meanwhile” until I received it.

I had been in that role for 15 days when the manager told me -verbatim-: “Gordita, you have to sell“. I answered: “You are crazy, I never sold a single nail“. He saw in me a DNA that I, “not even by the covers”…

A year later I asked to go to the commercial area, where I have worked for 25 years. Shortly after I received myself; However, I decided to continue in this role.

He is no longer on this plane and I “moved” from the Company. I will be eternally grateful to him for the opportunity that changed the course of my work life, and dare I say, personal life.

What do you feel has changed personally?

First of all, I learned to listen.

Active listening, generous listening, empathetic listening. This positioned me at a diametrically different angle towards Life, it linked me with the world and with people from another place. You saw that people – in general terms – live in a hurry and, above all, we talk more than we listen…

Learning had to do with accepting “no” as part of the path. Tolerance to frustration, since statistically – and despite needing it – not all people have the character to say “yes” to taking out life insurance, for example.

And finally, the importance of living in the present. The awareness that all we have is the here and now. And accept the finitude of this crazy and wonderful life: we are passing through here!

Based on your experience and your permanent contact with people who seek your advice on insurance and financial matters, what do you think is what moves people today to think about their future from a foresight perspective?

Making a racconto In recent times, the Pandemic has marked a before and after in the industry, and in the paradigm shift.

In the past our clients thought that “if I die… blah”; Since 2020, however, there is much more willingness to put our cards on the table when talking about the day after. Suddenly, we realized that… we were not immortal! We are not. It’s very crazy, however, that we express ourselves in terms of “if something were to happen to me…” It’s going to happen to us! It is the only thing that will indisputably come to all of us: death. What do we want to leave behind at the family level, at the budget level, at the succession level, inheritance…? Does everything fall apart if I leave in 5 minutes – it could happen – or does life – economic life – continue for my children, for my parents whom I support?

I have a phrase that simplifies it: do we leave “quilombos” or solutions?

The same happens with the issue of retirement: there is much awareness of the crisis of pension systems worldwide. There is even a rumrum that raises a possible? scenario where retirements end, looking to the future.

There is a lot of skepticism and discontent with the current pension system, which means that the balance tips in favor of seeking private options to resolve the issue.

Drawing a parallel, in the not-so-distant past, health and education were mostly public and today, however, the general trend is to choose the private sphere for these topics as long as the pocketbook makes it possible.

Retirement follows the same path, which is here to stay. Those of us who do not build capital to sustain ourselves tomorrow will find it difficult to sustain our quality of life with a retirement.

Is contracting these financial tools simple or complicated?

It is super simple since they are programs that are paid with automatic debit, with the convenience that this generates. Today technology is a great ally when it comes to hiring if we compare it with the past; In-person presence and the signed paper gave rise to the video call and the digital signature. With which the process was greatly streamlined, especially for the client. One or two compelling interviews with a specialized advisor begin long-term solutions that greatly simplify our future.

What advice would you give to those people who still have doubts about taking out insurance?

First of all, they should seek professional advice, despite the convenience of technology. This, said in the sense that it is extremely tempting to enter and compare companies, prices, plans over the Internet. It happens to all of us.

However, it is statistically proven that 80% of people who have a financial advisor (an insurance advisory producer) have better coverage for their family, and achieve greater capital in the long term in their retirement fund.

As an additional reflection, ask yourself: “If I had left yesterday, how do those who depend totally or partially on me continue to move forward?”

I think that everything you explain so clearly leaves us with a reflection. It would seem that life insurance has that kind of “bad” press, it is difficult for us to talk about it or evaluate its contract naturally, perhaps because it confronts us with our own death and that generates rejection in us. But thinking about life insurance actually makes us take the focus off of ourselves and put it on our family…

The fact of hiring a capital that we do not use, but rather our loved ones, links us with true Love, the one that transcends words, that of Action… Life insurance is, ultimately, a huge act of Love.
