The Schiphol chaos is more than mismanagement at an airport that cannot handle holiday crowds. It is also more than an illustration of the administrative malaise in the Netherlands: the administrative klutz keeps his top job. See it as a symbol for the dignity-degrading image of humanity of the current rulers, whether they are in government, European climate pope, disrupt the airport or preach immorality through Rabobank. They look over the underprivileged person who cannot buy privileges, out of disinterest.
