Jerome Roussillon (30) has been a Unioner since January 2023, came to the Irons from VfL Wolfsburg.
In a media round he spoke about the first five months in Berlin and why the Champions League is not his dream. Roussillon above …
… his deployment times in Berlin: I only played a few minutes in the first half of the season in Wolfsburg. But my goal was to play again. And I expected it when I came here. I am happy. But I didn’t think there would be so many games. But I’m very happy about it.
… his hopes: It was important for me to play more than in Wolfsburg. I was sure it would work here. I’ve done a lot with the coach before and Oliver Ruhnert spoken. Those were good conversations. And I knew Union and how they would play.
… Champions League dreams: I don’t dream of the Champions League. I’ve already played Champions League. We have three games left to reach it.
… Berlin: It’s good here, very good. Only it was difficult to find a house. I stayed at the hotel until April, which was a very long time.
… a comparison to VfL: The only thing I miss from Wolfsburg is Josuha Guilavogui. We call or write to each other via WhatsApp almost every day.
… the next opponent: We want to win against Freiburg. We haven’t lost at home yet. 21 games is a lot. But Freiburg are a great opponent, a great team. We want to win. Or at least get a point.
