Rostock supporters caused riots
The Rostock supporters caused a momentous riot in the 3-0 defeat in Paderborn last Friday evening. They set off pyrotechnics, threw objects at police officers, and dismantled drinks and snack bars and toilets. The game was interrupted twice.
“Of course we were prepared for the fact that there would be general protests,” said the spokesman. “But it was not expected that there would be such an escalation of violence, such massive damage to property and the willingness to injure people.”
Police review video footage
Before the match day, the decision was made for a DFL investor deal. By provoking game interruptions, banners and chants against the German Football League, fans in many German first and second division stadiums caused a stir.
The police now want to investigate the troublemakers from Rostock with an investigative commission. “We have tons of photo and video material to look at,” said the police spokesman: “There are also agreements with colleagues from Rostock.” With the help of the Rostock police, as many Hansa supporters as possible are to be identified. Witnesses can use a tip portal from the North Rhine police -Westphalia submit photos and videos anonymously.
