Tallon Greek track has withdrawn from the grass tournament in Mallorca. The tournament on the Spanish island is the last preparation tournament for Wimbledon, which starts on Monday 3 July.
In the run-up to the third grand slam tournament of the year, the 26-year-old Greek track prefers rest to an extra tournament. The best tennis player in the Netherlands has already played eight matches this grass season.
Greek track won the Rosmalen grass tournament last week. In Halle he reached the quarterfinals on Thursday by beating the Polish title holder Hubert Hurkacz. The Greek track then indicated that it was suffering from a slight upper leg injury. Andrei Rublev is his opponent on Friday for a place in the semi-final.
Botic van de Zandschulp will be in action next week. The number 2 in the Netherlands is participating in Eastbourne.
