Rose Bike: Retail boss Tim Böker leaves

After three years, retail boss Tim Boker is leaving Rose Bike at the end of May. His move is “in the best mutual agreement to face new professional challenges.” The Bocholter bicycle company announced this on Thursday.

In May 2019, Böker joined Rose Bikes as retail boss and co-partner. Through an exchange of shares, he brought the Essen digital agency Kommerz to Rose, of which he was a co-founder. With the departure from the management, Tim Böker returns his shares to the Rose family.

Tim Böker initially integrated his agency’s digital team into the family business Rose. He then oversaw the expansion of Rose Bike. Own stores opened in Switzerland, Berlin and Cologne, as well as cooperation areas with trading companies such as L&T in Osnabrück and several locations with Globetrotter. He also managed the further development of the completely digital store concept, which was presented for the first time in the new Cologne flagship store this week.

Rose Bike wants to expand its store network

“We regret Tim’s decision, but understand that he would like to face new professional challenges,” said Thorsten Heckrath-Rose, Managing Director of Rose Bikes in the announcement. “In the last three years, we have changed a lot together with Tim and his digital competence and have set a lot in motion in the stationary business.

The bicycle dealer wants to further expand the area network in the future. The new store concept will be rolled out in other major cities in Germany so that the brand can be experienced not only via the web shop, but also in stationary locations with points of contact for personal advice and workshop service.
