Roscello Vlijter’s contract with Telstar has been formally terminated. Still, the player himself hopes to play in Velsen-Zuid next season. “I have not yet spoken to the trainer, but I would like to stay,” said Vlijter.

“The fact that we have canceled the contract as of April 1 is a formal matter. You can always extend it and Roscello is certainly one of the candidates where we can do that. He has made great steps,” said trainer Andries Jonker.

Breakthrough?
Vlijter played little in recent years. This year he already played in 17 matches for De Witte Leeuwen. Yet Vlijter does not see it as his breakthrough. “I don’t want to say that. I think this is my best season I’ve played,” says Vlijter.
