Roosters help themselves in Düsseldorf

The Iserlohn Roosters from the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) have signed striker Cedric Schiemenz for the coming season. The 24-year-old comes from Düsseldorfer EG. Previously, the center trained at the Eisbären Berlin had made the leap into the DEL at the Schwenninger Wild Wings.

“Cedric has had an excellent education and has a high hockey IQ. He should take the next step in his career with us,” said Iserlohn’s sporting director Christian Hommel.

Iserlohn was 13th in the DEL season and missed the play-offs, Schiemenz failed with the DEG in the quarter-finals at ERC Ingolstadt. “During the talks I was shown a concrete perspective for my further development,” he said of his move.
