Roope Salminen claimed he doesn’t go to the grocery store – Now tells Iltalehte the truth about the shocking comment

Roope Salminen wants to tell people about media literacy.

Musician and host Roope Salminen recently said on the Christoffer Strandberg Show that he hasn’t bought food from a store in about 15 years.

The revelation in question sparked a huge discussion on social media. Some were so worried about the stars’ comments that the situation was compared to a “child welfare issue”.

Roope Salminen has now taken a stand on the subject in his Instagram stories. Salminen says that he thinks the whole conversation is entertainingly absurd.

– We made television. I’m sorry I lied on TV, Salminen says with a little laugh in his stories.

Now Salminen corrects Iltalehti that he wouldn’t necessarily say he lied.

– I do most of my grocery shopping with Wolt, so I rarely physically go to the grocery store. It wasn’t about the more miraculous, summarizes Salminen.

– I think I also mentioned in the program that I really enjoy cooking for my child, Salminen emphasizes.

Roope Salminen and Niina Lahtinen’s joking in the Cristoffer Strandberg program was not to the liking of some viewers. FOUR

Salminen describes the commenters as concerned citizens, about whom he does not think negatively in any way. He thanks people for their care and is happy that the program is sparking discussion.

However, Salminen would like people to consider for a few tens of seconds whether the jokes are literally true, or whether it’s just an entertainment show.

– I think it would certainly be easier for the person himself if he didn’t have to worry about such things. That’s why I’m asking for media literacy.

In general, Salminen takes a rather humorous approach to the discussion and believes that only a small part of the population took it seriously. Despite the entertaining conversations, Salminen does not intend to follow them in the future, but gives people permission to comment on him in the future as well.

– I am an entertainer, so the viewers and the general public are my employer. In practice, they pay my salary, so basically they get to give whatever feedback they want. I would never tell anyone that you can’t say that, Salminen opens.

– I’ve just made the choice myself that I don’t want to follow them, because… let’s say it like this, even naturally in conversations, sometimes such an unreal image may arise that it no longer has anything to do with my own personality or my life, Salminen says in conclusion.
