– I got numerous tips and the chest was found! Unfortunately, not all the items were returned, but this was a million times better than I expected, Roope writes with relief.

It’s being investigated
Eppu Salminen tells Iltalehte that the police are investigating the matter, which is why they want to remain silent about it.
– Some of the goods have been recovered and some are still missing. This issue is now being investigated with the police, Eppu states.

The events started on Tuesday, August 23, when “goods from one place to another” had been transported in a van in the vicinity of Salminen.
“Unfortunately, one car was wrecked during the transfer of the goods, and a lot of other stuff went missing, but the only thing we’re interested in getting back is this trunk,” Roope said at the time.
The trunk contained items important to the Salmist family, such as photographs and memorabilia. Roope told Iltalehte that in the past there were people in photographs of whom there are no pictures in digital form, which is why physical pictures are even more important.
Roope revealed to Iltalehte that he would pay a substantial finder’s fee if the coffin was found.
– Yes, that chest and those things are very important to us, that money doesn’t really matter at that point, Salminen emphasized earlier.
