Room change to RB Leipzig “on the home straight”

RB Leipzig’s CEO Oliver Mintzlaff has confirmed that the negotiations with 1899 Hoffenheim about the transfer of national player David Raum to Saxony are about to be concluded.

The full-back, who was allegedly also courted by BVB, is still a TSG player. “But I can say that we are in good talks and that we are on the home straight,” said Mintzlaff before the Supercup game of Leipzig at home against German champions FC Bayern Munich on the “Sat.1” broadcaster. “But nothing has been signed yet.”

“Sky” and “Bild” reported on Friday that the two Bundesliga rivals had reached an agreement. The 24-year-old defender should get a contract with the cup winners from Leipzig that is valid until the end of June 2027.

According to “Bild”, Leipzig’s left-back Angeliño should switch to TSG in return. The Spaniard was not in the RB squad in the Supercup against Bayern.

David Raum also traded at BVB and FC Bayern

Raum only switched from SpVgg Greuther Fürth to TSG a year ago. His contract with Hoffenheim runs until June 30, 2026. According to media reports, the transfer fee should be between 30 million and 35 million euros.

Space was recently traded as a possible access at FC Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

In the summer window, he was part of the permanent national team staff of national coach Hansi Flick.
