Early Saturday morning around 1:45 a.m. the roof of a residential building in the Brandenburg district of Märkisch-Oderland caught fire.
The fire broke out in a single-story residential building on Poststrasse and spread to the roof of the house.
According to BZ information, the emergency services from several volunteer fire departments were busy lifting the roof until the morning in order to get to embers and extinguish them.
According to initial findings, no one was injured. There was an unknown amount of material damage.
A specialist commissioner from the Brandenburg police is now investigating the cause of the fire.
