It was a comeback that many fans had been waiting for for years: Falling in reverse were back on the main stage after almost ten years Rock am Ring 2025. On Sunday evening, right in front of headliner Korn, the American metalcore band performed on the Utopia Stage. But not only the music, but especially front man Ronnie Radke caused a conversation. With a targeted statement that shocked the LGBTQ+community in particular.
Translatory gesture directly at the beginning of the appearance
Even before the first tone, Radke set a clear and controversial sign. A backstage camera accompanied the singer out of a truck, like “Volksfreund.de” reports. While the audience cheered him, he pointed to a neighboring truck with the lettering “Trans …” and demonstratively pointed down with both thumbs – a gesture that is rated as hostile to translo in social networks.
A well -known pattern: provocation as a stylistic device
This scandal was not surprising for fans of the band. Ronnie Radke is known for his controversial statements against the left, environmental activists and the LGBTQ+scene. On social media, he regularly exceeds the border of what can be said. In a now deleted tweet, he compared the coming-out as a trans with the earlier trend of self-injury. The limits of good taste are not very interested in Radke. His brand lives from calculated provocation.
Show of the dark side
Apart from the controversial insert, Falling, according to the RAR fans, probably offered a good show. Pyro effects and hits such as “Popular Monster” and “Watch the World Burn” let their audience romp. The crowd in front of the stage reacted euphorically, the moshpits reached into the back rows. Many deliberately separated art and artists or simply have no idea about their favorites – and celebrated the performance despite all the secondary tones.
Early end
Ronnie Radke, who repeatedly praised the staunch of the freezing fans, showed himself close to the public. The concert was canceled around 20 minutes before the planned end – a sudden end.
