Has been in the headlines lately because of his tantrums Cristiano Ronaldo returned to the playing fields on Thursday, when Manchester United defeated Moldovan Sheriff Tiraspol 3–0 in the Europa League.
Last week, Ronaldo left the dressing room in the middle of the Tottenham match. The superstar trained with the youth team and was absent from last Saturday’s top game against Chelsea.
On Thursday, he was accepted back into the lineup. Ronaldo scored his team’s third goal.
United’s goal account was opened by a defender in the 44th minute Diago Dalot. The home team was allowed to breathe again at the 65th minute, when Marcus Rashford brought the game to 2–0.
United is in second place in Group E. Above is Real Sociedad, who knocked down group jumbo Omonia 2–0 away from home.
The Manchester team is three points behind the top of the group. Sheriff Tiraspol is third in the group with three points.

On Thursday, Real Betis secured the victory in Group C in the Europa League. The team beat Ludogorets away 1–0.
French reinforcements were responsible for Betis’ hit Nabil Fekir.
Ludogorets attempted the goal 15 times, but missed. Team goalkeeper Sergio Patt didn’t have to save even once when the Betis veskari Claudio Bravo stretched into the path of the ball six times.
The result of the game means that AS Roma must knock out Ludogorets in the last round at home if they want to take second place in the group. Both teams have seven points.
Ludogorets are ahead of AS Roma after beating the Italian side 2-1 in September’s head-to-head clash.
HJK remains the jumbo of Group C, as the Finnish team has only one point.
