Ronald Molendijk gets Eva Jinek through the mangle: ‘Bloodhounds!’

Ronald Molendijk agrees with the criticism that Eva Jinek receives on her role in the downfall of Johan Derksen. “All the bloodhounds were ready to say, ‘We have to cancel him!’”

The talk shows Jinek and Op1 played a major role in the 48-hour media revolt around Johan Derksen’s candle story, which forced the football analyst to stop television. And that leads to a lot of suspicion, since these programs were direct competitors of his hit show Today Inside.

Step down from the tube

TV connoisseur Victor Vlam thinks that Today Inside was deliberately demolished by Jinek and Op1 and Reverend Gremdaat also criticizes the attitude these programs have adopted. It is particularly irritating that Eva has suggested an advertising and viewer boycott of VI. ‘Vomited’, says Harry Vermeegen. And Martijn Koning is also critical.

Ronald Molendijk now joins that massive criticism. He denounces the way in which ‘some media have dealt with this’. “I thought it was impressive how eagerly RTL and NPO programs, which of course suffered a lot from the success of VI in the viewing figures, were ready to kick this program off the tube,” he says in Shownieuws.

Bloodhounds

The bosom friend of Talpa-bobo Erland Galjaard is talking about Jinek and Op1 here. “There were really all bloodhounds ready to say: ‘This is not possible, we have to cancel it’, and so on. I was like: well, God, that’s how it works again.”

Presenter Tooske Ragas: “I haven’t even looked at it that way yet. You really think they’ve thought about that? That they wanted to get rid of a major competitor?”

Ronald: “Yes, of course.”

Self-interest

Private boss Evert Sankrediets agrees. “It started with Bert Huisjes, who makes Op1, and Op1 also had a lot of trouble with it. And Eva Jinek was also one of the people who called for an advertising boycott around that program, so yes: it was not completely devoid of any self-interest.”

Bram Moszkowicz, Eva’s ex, then: “Just say opportunism.”

Ronald: “This was just tough competition, wasn’t it? Isn’t that just what you saw happen?”
