Head coach of the Dutch men’s national football team Louis van Gaal said last week that he was suffering from prostate cancer.
The iconic 70-year-old pilot will lead the Dutch World Cup in November-December. The Netherlands will play in Group A of the Qatar Games alongside host country Qatar, Senegal and Ecuador.
The World Cup will be van Gaal’s last game as the national team commander.
The next head coach of the Dutch national team is already known. She is Ronald Koeman59, who piloted Orange last 2018-20.
After that, Koeman became the head coach of Barcelona. Koeman was fired from the Catalan giant in 2021. He has not coached since.
