Ron Brandsteder alive and kicking. According to Omroep MAX, there is nothing wrong with the 72-year-old broadcasting star. “If all goes well, he will be behind the microphone again on Friday.”
It was a huge shock for people: Ron Brandsteder left unannounced on Friday evening as the presenter of his own radio show. Head over heels, Angela Groothuizen was called in to fill in, but she pretended that Ron had never signed out at all. “Yes, we think he is on vacation. We don’t actually know.”
Ron’s back!
Patty Brard, Ron’s ex, has said in Shownieuws that a schedule error is used as an excuse, but she does not believe that. “I think that’s just being said. I think he just wasn’t there. I think so,” said the television diva, who clearly hints at the thirsty image of her former lover.
Broadcaster MAX does not know where that story of those schedules comes from, but at least not with them, the broadcaster says. A spokeswoman says that Ron was just free. When will he go back to work? “If all goes well, he will be behind the microphone again on Friday.”
Strange story
Of course, it may well be that Ron is being protected by his employer, because it is not clear why Angela is only doing so last minute knew about this raid. And most of all: why she was so incredibly mysterious about Ron’s absence.
According to Evert Santegoeds, who is good friends with Ron’s former TV buddy André van Duin, it is a storm in a teacup. “Yes, no, I think there is nothing wrong. But it is a bit strange that you are just not there for a live broadcast.”
Embittered
It is true that Ron has become a completely different person, says Evert. He continues in the podcast Strictly Private: “Ron has been a bit strange lately. He actually said goodbye to everything and everyone. He seems a bit bitter.”
Ron only does his radio program, says Evert. “Friends of the past no longer hear him, no longer see him.”
All in all, Ron will be behind the microphone again on Friday, from 10 p.m. to 12 a.m. on NPO Radio 5. Handy, Shownieuws knows exactly when to be at the exit.
