Romina, what aspects do you consider are essential to carry out the learning of the German language at an early age?

The teaching-learning process of a language in boys and girls between two and five years old is radically different if we do it contemplating everything that the sensory, physical and emotional body provides them at this stage of their development. This is the premise on which my system is founded. DAL-Deutsch Aktiv Lehrenteach with a comprehensive look that allows a better experience of learning German as a foreign language.

How did DAL come about?

DAL was born from a very strong personal need to want to contribute and collaborate with the teaching of the German language at an early age, from a different and innovative perspective.

Through my professional path, I detected that this need also existed in different school settings. Uniting education, language and accompanying children in their growth, the three engines of my passion, was the basis for beginning to project a different and comprehensive teaching methodology.

After several years of developing the idea, I find myself leading DAL with a wonderful and very talented team that trusted my project from the beginning. We achieved a human and professional relationship of respect, cordiality and empathy. We are united with a clear direction: that DAL adds true value to the teaching of the German language to children and teachers. And I am convinced that it will be so.

When I started this project, I did it from a place of openness and trust towards the people who were collaborating with me, allowing it to guide us step by step. I was making decisions through the opportunities that were presented to us, leading every day in search of the maximum development of DAL and truly enjoying this path.

What are the challenges ahead of you?

The immediate ones are: to present my first series of didactic material and, late in May, to disseminate “DAL and the teaching of German at an early age”, a workshop designed to enrich and enhance the teaching task. Meanwhile I continue working on medium and long-term goals.

They told me to dream big and so I did, which is why, currently, I can say that my great desire is for the DAL system to become the benchmark for language teaching for German schools in my country, and why not , in the rest of the world.
