A legend of the sport David Beckham’s son, Romeo Beckham, 19, has scored his first goal in the professional series. The goal came spectacularly from his father’s trademark free kick.

Romeo, who plays for FC Inter Miami’s second team owned by his father, lifted the ball over the wall from 20 meters into the front corner. Father has seen similar goals over the years.

Father and son exchanged words on Instagram stories after the goal. Romeo said he dedicated his painting to his father.

– Well done. I’m proud, David congratulated.

– I love you father, this was for you, Romeo answered.

CBS sports analyst Luis Miguel Echegaray also noticed that similar free kick goals have been seen sometimes before.

– His placement and technique resemble his father. God, I feel really old watching Beckham’s son’s highlights, Echegaray wrote on Twitter.

Dad David is still in the running for the Premier League free-kick goals record. The former captain of the England national team shot 18 goals directly from the crossbar.

This season, 19-year-old Romeo has scored one goal and assisted seven in the MLS Next Pro series.
