The Portuguese is known for his skill on the placed, and was immediately decisive yesterday from eleven meters, on his debut in the Giallorossi jersey. For this reason he could rise even more in the hierarchy on penalty kicks in the Capitoline house
We talked about Sergio Oliveira just a few days ago, especially on his skill on the placed squares that could undermine Jordan Veretout’s fantasy football appeal. No sooner said than done. The Portuguese was immediately decisive yesterday, on his debut in the Giallorossi jersey, in the narrow victory of Roma over Cagliari, scoring his first goal in Italy from eleven meters.
MAGAZINES HIERARCHIES
–
With Sergio Oliveira’s stamp from the spot (20 credits) and his post-match statements, the hierarchies on penalty kicks at Roma have been completely revised. The Portuguese said he is the second penalty taker on the team, with Pellegrini (30 credits) being the designated shooter. Jordan Veretout (24 credits) is queued up only in third position and therefore loses much of his bonus potential with the arrival of the former Porto midfielder. Among other things, the former Fiorentina would not even have been the owner: only the injury in the warm-up of the Giallorossi captain allowed his presence in Mourinho’s eleven.
Another important signal for the future, with the fantasy coaches who, therefore, will have to evaluate what to do. This season Roma had five penalties in favor: two were scored, the remaining three failed. Veretout was guilty of two mistakes out of three attempts (only the one against Lazio scored), Pellegrini missed one last week against Juventus. Oliveira, therefore, presents himself with a nice business card and a certainty: he is a strong contender on the placed and, perhaps, could rise even more in the hierarchies. Keep an eye out for the repair rod.
