Roman Rotenberg threw in the towel – Shifted the responsibility to Joe Biden and Emmanuel Macron: “It’s not just up to us”

Roman Rotenberg praised the ice hockey tour of the Russian team.

Roman Rotenberg became the national team coach. PDO

The team called Russia 25 is playing in different parts of Eastern Europe at the same time as other top countries are preparing for the World Hockey Championships.

Due to its brutal war of aggression, Russia is still closed from the IIHF.

The head coach of the team is Roman Rotenberg, who also works as the chief pilot of St. Petersburg SKA. For Rotenberg, the exclusion of Russia still seems to be a tough spot.

In an interview with Championat he shifted the blame everywhere, except Russia, when a reporter asked when Russia would be seen again at the World Hockey Championships.

– Is the IIHF going to include Russia? You have to ask that From Thomas Bach, From Emmanuel Macron and From Joe Biden. As far as I know, there isn’t. We are working all the time for a return, but it does not depend only on us, Rotenberg claimed.

Bach is the president of the International Olympic Committee. Macron, on the other hand, is the president of France and Biden is the president of the United States. Rotenberg did not mention the war waged by Russia in the interview.

The name of the Russia 25 team comes from the middle age of the players. The team will participate in the tournament in May, where they will face Kazakhstan and Belarus. The tour will be played in Chelyabinsk, Krasnoyarsk, Astana, Tula and Mink.

Rotenberg called the tour a tough one.

– Belarus has very strong coaching expertise. Matches are tough tests for us. Belarus beat us in the previous tournament, so the matches will be of a very high international standard.

– Kazakhstan is preparing for the World Cup, so it will be a good test for us. I expect full stands and good matches, Rotenberg listed.

Kazakhstan plays in the B group of the Ice Hockey World Cup, whose preliminary series matches are played in Riga, the capital of Latvia.

Like Russia, Belarus is excluded from the IIHF.
