Abderrahim Lahlali, the lawyer for the Brussels Roma non-profit organization Kham who had filed a criminal complaint against Vooruit chairman Conner Rousseau, has now also submitted a petition for access to the complete file surrounding his possible racist statements. “We also want to view the bodycam images and know the weight of the statements, to estimate whether restorative mediation is feasible,” says the lawyer. Rousseau previously denied having used words such as “brown scum”.
