Twelve songs and a “killing” cover: supposedly new to “Hackney Diamonds”
The alleged album cover of the upcoming Rolling Stones record “Hackney Diamonds” is shown on Wikipedia, which is to be announced tomorrow, Wednesday (September 06, 2023), including live on the Jimmy Fallon broadcast.
“A computer graphic of a diamond heart being split with a pick” is how the somber cover is described. It has not been confirmed whether this is really the cover of the first Stones album since “Blue and Lonesome” from 2016 – Wikipedia often has things that need to be corrected afterwards.
The track list is given there as follows – the same applies here, we won’t know more until tomorrow:
- “Angry” (with Watts)
- “Bite My Head Off”
- “Depending On You” (with Watts)
- “Dreamy Skies”
- “Driving Me Too Hard”
- “Get Close” (with Watts)
- “Live by the Sword”
- “Mess It Up”
- “Morning Joe Cues”
- “Sweet Sounds of Heaven”
- “Tell Me Straight”
- Whole Wide World
“With Watt” refers to co-producer Andrew Watt, who not only shared production with Don Was, but also co-produced. Recordings with Paul McCartney, Elton John and Billy Wyman are said to be heard on the record. It is known that it contains the last plays in which Charlie Watts participated.
