Jochen Distelmeyer, who became known as the lyricist, singer and guitarist for the German indie rock band Blumfeld, is going on a solo tour in autumn. The musician had only recently released a ballad with his comeback single “I sing for you”, and Distelmeyer also announced his new album “Gehlte Echten” for July 1st. The 55-year-old will be traveling with it from the end of September for 21 concerts across Germany.
“Felt Truths” contains original Distelmeyer titles
On his last solo album, “Songs From The Bottom, Vol. I” from 2016, Distelmeyer covered hits like Britney Spears’ “Toxic” and Lana Del Rey’s “Video Games”. For the first time since his 2009 release “Heavy”, the new disc features new, original tracks by the musician. In between, the singer also worked as a writer: his debut novel “Otis” was published in 2015.
