Good news: As part of this year’s Reeperbahn Festival, we are presenting a ROLLING STONE night. On Thursday (September 22), three acts that the editors greatly appreciate will be playing in the historic Gruenspan at Große Freiheit 58.

Destroyer, Skinny Lister and Lola Marsh

The program includes Destroyer, whose singer Dan Bejar once described their style as “European Blues”. Again and again, the Canadians are compared to David Bowie, not least because of their versatility.

We are also looking forward to the band Skinny Lister. The Brits mix English folk songs with a punk rock habit and folk sounds: groups like The Pogues and The Clash resonate in their music.

The third act is Lola Marsh from Tel Aviv, whose slightly psychedelic 60s style also leaves room for influences from synthpop and indie folk.

The Reeperbahn Festival as a springboard

Europe’s largest club festival is particularly important for newcomers: Because numerous players from the music business as well as journalists can be found there, a successful performance can quickly become a stepping stone. A total of 470 concerts by 200 acts are on the program this year; The organizers expect around 40,000 visitors per day.
