Opera singer Rolando Villazón (50) performed in the Tegel arrival center in Berlin in front of families who had fled Ukraine.
Together with two “Red Noses” clowns, the Mexican-French world star entertained children and their parents with country music and slapstick on Sunday, according to the “Red Noses” association.
“Here in Berlin-Tegel there were many great moments,” Villazón was quoted as saying in the message. “The refugee children and their families felt hope and joy, a small moment of relief.”
According to the club, Villazón has been a “Red Noses” ambassador for many years. After his visit to Tegel, he traveled on to Poland, next to perform in a Warsaw reception center.
