Where the container should now be placed when the street is out. Why that one tree remains standing, but that one other is cut down. Why the threshold will be placed in the middle of the street, and not at the beginning.
“I have doubts whether this will benefit safety,” says Arno van Nierop. “I even think that it doesn’t help. Our village remains a race track,” he points to the ‘chicane’ in the middle of the village. “That remains a place where extra gas is often given.”
Actually, Rogat is off limits to everyone except the 120 inhabitants. The road is for local traffic only. “But that is never checked,” says a resident. “Put a speed camera there. Huub Konings examines one of the drawings. He looks at the future situation of the access road, coming from the A28. He expresses what about all 120 residents think. “In the core, the trees have been cut down, but here they remain along the road. If you remove them now, you can build a footpath.”
