Menen holds up well in the beginning, but cannot compete with Roeselare’s block, and also makes too many service misses. Roeselare takes the first set 17-25. Anyone expecting a re-release of last year’s finale will be disappointed. Menen has a straight back, and can count on a sublime Eliot De Vleeschhauwer. It continues in the footsteps of Roeselare. Each team gets the chance to take the second set. It is Dukic who finishes it. Menen’s supporters are close to delirium.
